Taipei, Taiwan - VIVOTEK is releasing the next in its series of user-friendly pan/tilt network cameras, PT8133/33W, a newly improved, upgraded version of the PT7135/37.

Designed to resemble an elegant, poised swan, the 1.0-Megapixel VIVOTEK PT8133/33W is only 100 mm in diameter and 120 mm tall, making for an aesthetically pleasing yet effective, high-quality surveillance solution in high definition. With flexible 350-degree pan and 125-degree tilt, the PT8133/33W offers users comprehensive control over a monitored site.

The PT8133/33W also supports remote monitoring through 3GPP and comes with a built-in microphone as well as motion and tampering detection functions.

The PT8133/33W now supports H.264 compression technology and is compatible with MPEG-4 as well as MJPEG. While PT8133W and PT7137 are both wireless models, the PT8133W comes with a WPS button for easy configuration and 802.11n for efficient data transmission. In addition, the PT8133 supports the standard 802.3af PoE.

The previous generation VIVOTEK PT7135/37 enjoyed widespread acclaim in the industry; in 2006, not only did it win the Symbol of Excellence Award, it was named Outstanding I.T. Application/Product, a recognition granted by Taipei Computer Association as part of the I.T. Month Award program. With the replacement PT8133/33W, VIVOTEK plans to discontinue PT7135/37 in 2012 Q3.
