Samsung Techwin recruits Axis' Jonas Andersson

Jonas Andersson has been appointed Senior VP for product planning and strategic marketing for the security solutions division of Samsung Techwin.
Jonas Andersson, who will be joining Samsung Techwin on 14th January 2013, has worked for Axis Communications for the last 18 years in a number of senior roles including Director of Video Product Management and Video Solutions and for the last five years, Business Development Director. He has also been Chairman of the ONVIF Steering Committee since November 2008.

Samsung's philosophy of delivering Smarter Security is reflected in a product portfolio which provides customers with the flexibility to choose the best solution for the job in hand. It enables customers to easily upgrade from an analogue system to an IP and network based solution in the smartest way for their business. A key objective for 2013 and beyond is to prove to installers, systems integrators, specifiers and end-users, how they can choose Samsung IP equipment and be confident that it will meet, if not exceed, their expectations. At the same time, Samsung's range of consumer security products, which includes, for example, baby monitors and soon to be launched smart home cameras, are redefining the way people use video in their homes.
Andersson has a Master of Science Degree (Hons) in Electrical Engineering and has successfully studied for an Executive MBA in management, leadership and business administration. Commenting on his appointment, Andersson said: "Having spent the last 10 years working for one of the leading manufacturers of IP network products, I am naturally very pleased to be able to progress my career by taking on this senior role within Samsung Techwin.
