Rosslare's Multi-Smart? and Multi-Smart? Secure Reader Series Achieve Official SIA OSDP Verified Status
Having passed a rigorous testing and certification process under the latest industry protocol standards, this reader series now provides facilities with a flexible, interoperable, and future-proof path to secure access control migration.
August 2, 2026 — Rosslare, a global manufacturer of access control hardware and software solutions, today announced that its Multi-Smart? and Multi-Smart? Secure reader series have officially achieved SIA OSDP Verified status. This milestone follows a rigorous evaluation against the latest Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) standards set by the Security Industry Association (SIA).
OSDP Verification is widely regarded as the industry benchmark for ensuring that readers and controllers communicate securely and reliably across different manufacturers. By achieving this status, Rosslare gives integrators and end users independently verified assurance that the Multi-Smart? and Multi-Smart? Secure series will perform predictably within multi-vendor environments, easing deployment and reducing the risks typically associated with technology migration.
"By achieving this status, Rosslare gives integrators and end users independently verified assurance that our readers will perform predictably within multi-vendor environments," said Boris Bachman, VP of Sales & Marketing at Rosslare. "This official verification significantly eases deployment and reduces the operational risks typically associated with technology migration."
At the center of the announcement is the AY-K35 Multi-Smart? reader, which combines multi-technology credential support with OSDP Secure Channel communication. It delivers greater versatility, scalability, and security to physical access control without requiring facilities to replace their existing credentials. The reader supports NFC and BLE mobile credentials alongside 125 kHz FSK and ASK, 13.56 MHz, and MIFARE Classic? Sector credentials. This allows organizations of any size to tailor their credentialing strategy down to the individual user profile, lowering operational costs without compromising on security or functionality.
The AY-K35 is also built to withstand demanding real-world conditions, offering dust and water resistance, vandal-proof durability, and antimicrobial properties that reduce the risk of contamination while increasing physical access control security.
More information on the AY-K35 Multi-Smart? reader is available on Rosslare's official website.
