Suprema Revenue Increased at a CAGR of 52 Percent during 2006-2011

Suprema announces that its revenue increased at a CAGR of 52 percent during 2006 - 2011. For the year ended 31 December 2011, the company, which makes products ranging from biometric security solutions to e-passport readers and live scanning systems, reported KRW 41.6 billion (US$36.94 million) in global sales which increased 22 percent from 2010.

The strong growth of biometric security systems and fingerprint solutions made major contribution to the company's success and its profit topped by newly-launched businesses in the government sectors. While the Suprema's fingerprint module business holds its top position in international market share, the company's access control business also showed strong growth by acquiring number of multi-national security distributors.

In the coming year, Suprema has brighter outlook for introducing advanced face recognition technology and expanding its public ID solution business including live scanners and passport readers, to fast-growing international markets.

Since its founding in 2000, Suprema has recorded double-digit growth for 11 consecutive years and its current market capital is soaring above KRW 212 billion (US$188 million).
