Samsung Introduces Six New IP Cameras

Samsung has further strengthened its range of IP and network video surveillance solutions with the introduction of six new cameras which utilize Samsung's latest Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chipset specifically designed for its VGA resolution IP cameras.

As those features Samsung users can expect,  third generation Samsung Super Noise Reduction (SSNRIII), Samsung Super Dynamic Range (SSDR) and the DSP equips each of the new compact ONVIF compliant VGA cameras with a long list of features which offer real life benefits to users, including simultaneous multi-streaming of video at up to 30 frames per second with a choice of MJPEG or bandwidth friendly H.264 compression methods, Power over Ethernet (PoE) operation and polygonal privacy masking.

In addition to standard motion detection, all cameras also have built-in face detection, which can identify the presence of human faces and alert operators in a number of ways, including via e-mail. This feature can also be set on a schedule by days of the week and will even detect faces present behind polygonal privacy masks.

The quality of the VGA (640 x 480) images captured by cameras is enhanced by the utilisation of the latest CMOS image sensor technology, whilst Progressive Scan optimises high quality video capture of moving objects, making it possible, for example, to read car number plates without a motion blur effect. Selected units also feature bi-directional audio for effective two way communication.
