The VIP-X1 XF-E is the latest addition to the VIP family of single channel H.264 Encoders. This version of the VIP X1 XF delivers the same encoding functionality as its big brother but does not include Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) capability. This makes it a cost-effective solution for upgrading analog systems or adding IP functionality to analog cameras in areas where great image quality yet no automated detection is needed, for example reception desks or hotel lobbies.
Delivering two independent high-quality, real-time H.264 video streams per channel, the VIP-X1 XF-E Encoder allows viewing and recording at two differ-ent quality levels. Its H.264 Main Profile encoding also delivers DVD image quality video (4CIF) at the same bandwidth as MPEG-4 half resolution video (2CIF). Furthermore Bosch's low latency implementation of main profile tech-nology offers all the compression benefits for live video, without sacrificing im-age quality. This makes it a unique top-of-the-line H.264 implementation.
Direct to iSCSI network recording and support for Bosch Video Recording Manager eliminates the need for Network Video recorders (NVRs), and thus a single point of failure, further reducing Total Cost of Ownership. A SD card for local recording, together with Bosch Automatic Network Replenishment sup-port ensures that video is recorded even during network outages.
Fully ONVIF 1.02 conformant, the VIP-X1 XF-E can be easily integrated into existing systems. Integrated Motion+ technology detects any attempts to tam-per with the camera view. It also has a single audio and alarm input/output and comes complete with a wall mount.
