The VIP X1600 XF is a modular video encoder /decoder system. Each unit accommodates up to four hot-swappable modules, allowing modules to be added or exchanged without interrupting transmission to the existing channels.
Four-channel MPEG-4 or H.264 encoder modules as well as four-channel MPEG-4/H.264 decoder modules are available, enabling mixing and matching of up to 16 video input/output channels in a single base unit. Supporting Bosch' unique direct to iSCSI recording concept, iSCSI RAID units can be either direct or network-attached.
The H.264 main profile encoder modules deliver real-time H.264 compressed video over IP, providing two independent streams per camera with full frame rate at best quality for different purposes, like one stream for live viewing with lowest delay while the second stream is optimized for recording. Finally they come with an onboard hardware-accelerator for VCA functions, bringing "Intelligence-at-the-Edge" to the next level.
