The Precise BioAccess 200 stores fingerprint information (templates) on personal-data carrierssmartcards. Matching is done in secure, contained environments of the Precise BioAccess 200 reader. When successful, fingerprint-match card-serial numbers are sent to the back-end system. The Precise BioAccess 200 is much improved over its predecessors with highly improved biometric performance, user interface, PIN pad and configurability.
The Precise BioAccess200 is suitable for indoor environments for customers needing to identify who is in buildings or offices, not merely which cards have been presented. The Precise BioAccess 200 supports both two and three-factor authenticationthe latter involves verifying identity by means of fingerprints, PIN-code and smartcardsa must for customers with high-security demands. The Precise BioAccess 200 also supports both Mifare and DESFire contactless smartcards and can be configured via PC connection.
