Setup is simple and much more cost-effective than conventional CCTV systems because network infrastructure is often already in place or can be easily installed. Once network connection is established, camera images can be efficiently streamed over the network. MPEG-4 is well-suited for streaming images over limited bandwidths. If higher-quality still images are required, industry-standard JPEG compression is available. The SNC-RZ25 also has PTZ capability, allowing camera movements and the 18-time optical zoom to be controlled from a PC using a standard Web browser.
