Optelecom-NKF builds a range of Siqura IP video codecs specifically for long-distance transmission. This range of encoders and decoders has a fiber optic capability with an optional pluggable SFP slot. The servers have this option: Siqura S-50, S-60, CS-20, C-44,C-50, C-60. This extra product feature enables users to directly insert a fiber optic cord in the encoder or decoder without using fiber convertors or extra patch cords. Decreasing the possibilities for malfunction, this saves space, energy, and money while making the video surveillance system much more robust.


Depending on the distance and fiber type, the maximum distances range from 300 meters to 60 km.
