With CamControl iPhone both live and recorded images can be viewed with a frame rate of up to 12 fps (given a high speed connection such as HSDPA). Moveable cameras (PTZs) can be easily controlled and relays remotely operated. It is the HeiTel-owned and designed video compression procedure HTcompress that ensures high frame rates, even with small bandwidths. All mobile radio standards such as UMTS/3G, HSDPA, W-CDMA, GPRS as well as WLAN can be used for transmission. The display switches automatically between portrait and landscape mode and can be zoomed in and out using the typical iPhone swipe gestures.


CamControl iPhone is available through Apple's "App Store". HeiTel provides – also in the App Store – a CamControl iPhone demo version. Both versions are fully compatible with 2-nd generation iPhones and iPods touch.
