The S600 fingerprint reader is designed for use as part of an integrated online access control system and is used to control access to restricted areas where an additional biometric layer of security is required. With an internal database, the S600 fingerprint reader gives full off line validation and decision making at the point of entry, even when communication to the access control host is not available. It is designed for use with many card technologies and has a 4 x 3 key pad, three LED indicators and a display screen to communicate reader messages to users. The reader uniquely eliminates the need for clients to have an additional biometric network fingerprint templates are enrolled on the CEM AC2000 access control enrolment station and then saved to the AC2000 server. Templates are then distributed to the CEM S600 card reader, offering clients an integrated and failsafe solution for biometric template management.
