This transmitter emits an invisible infrared beam to the receiver. If the beam is broken, the receiver signals an alarm. DS415iDC features a 500 foot detector range, friction lock optics, and alarm retransmission. Its basic functions are alarm retransmission and a supervised alarm circuit transmitter allowing the connection of normal open or closed devices such as magnetic contacts or relays from other detectors. Their condition is relayed to the receiver by a transmitter shutdown.
