All units of the range of video recorders for analog cameras from Visual Tools (VX-DVR, VX-PeCo, VX and VX-POS-PeCo-POS) will benefit from the added functionality in the latest version of firmware that includes:
NAS partition for Axis cameras recordings: the VX units have an option to store the recordings from Axis cameras by creating virtual disks to share the storage capacity of the hard disk. 1 or 2 resources NAS of 50, 100, 200 or 350 GB each can be created up to a maximum of 50% of the total size of the disk (only on units with more than 1TB). Thus, when the Supervisor X connects to the AXIS camera, the user can access to its recordings as if accessing to a VX.
Day/night discrimination for events: the unit configuration allows day / night mode for recordings based on digital inputs or VMD. This way, for instance, accesses can be considered normal events during day time and alarms at night.
Event Log: all information collected by the digital inputs and outputs and VMD that has been configured to be stored can now be used from the VMS Supervisor X as a filter for the search of recorded incidents.
Improved compatibility: Revised compatibility with Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10 and 11, support of domes movements and presets from IOS and Android applications and compatibility with VTViewer, new application for viewing live video on iPad devices.
