Averlogic AL330B, One-Stop Video Processing SOC for digital displays devices

Averlogic Technologies Corp., a Video/Audio IC solutions provider, has announced a new video SOC (System On a Chip) that can be incorporated into a wide range of small to medium sized digital display devices.
This one-chip wonder is highly integrated, assuming complete video processing responsibilities and helping display manufacturers shorten development cycles by providing a versatile, straightforward interface. This immediately relieves manufacturers of the complexities of video format standards, decoding signals, video timing issues, color/image enhancement, input/output device variability etc.
Applications
The AL330B can be used in a variety of digital display devices such as Small to Medium Standalone Flat Panel Monitors, In-Car video devices (DVD,CCD,TV, GPS etc.), Entertainment Systems, Video Door Phones, Baby Monitors, Portable TVs, AMOLED display devices and much more.
Video Input
The AL330B is capable of handling 9 video inputs with CVBS, S-Video, YPbPr (480P/576P) or Analog RGB interfaces. It can also auto-detect NTSC, Pal and SECAM video signals. It uses an Adaptive 2D Comb-Filter, the most cost effective solution for reducing artifacts and displaying optimal picture quality. The AL330B also can support CCIR-656/YCbCr Digital Input.
Video Processing
The AL330B provides a versatile array of processing capabilities including various levels of video decoding, picture enhancement, color conversion and video scaling. Such features include an Anti-aliasing filter, Brightness/Contrast/Hue/Saturation adjustment, Image and Edge Sharpness adjustment, Programmable Scaling, feature-full OSD (On Screen Display) capabilities, Black Level Extension , White Level Extension, Macrovision copy protection , VBI Decoding and much more.
The Chip
The AL330B contains a built-in 8052 MCU with 1K internal SRAM and comes in a 128-pin, 14 x 14 mm LQFP package. It is designed as a low-power IC unit and contains dedicated UART & INT pins, supports SPI-Flash and ISP functions and has three PWM generators for general purpose control.
