StarDot Technologies, a designer and manufacturer of IP video cameras and video servers since 1994, and Genetec, a provider for the physical security and public safety industry, partnered to deliver IP video solutions to the security industry.

StarDot cameras are integrated with the Genetec video management solution. The system provides management of digital video, audio and data across any IP network. With an array of features described as some of the most innovative, the management has proven to be the system of choice in numerous industries including transportation, education, retail and gaming.

StarDot’s new line of dual-codec H.264 cameras, available in 1.3-, 3- and 5 megapixel resolutions, offers higher compression rates compared to M-JPEG encoding, decreasing the stress on network infrastructures, a critical aspect of multimegapixel camera deployments. StarDot is one of the few megapixel network camera manufacturers to support dual-codec multimegapixel (H.264/M-JPEG) video streaming with full time analog video output.

"StarDot’s integration with Genetec offers clients all the great features that video management has to offer plus the added benefits of StarDot’s crystal clear 'Beyond HD' video quality," said Vance Kozik, StarDot’s PM.

"We're very excited about supporting StarDot’s megapixel IP video cameras and their integration with our video management software," said Morgan Pasnon, Technology Partner Program Manager at Genetec. "Having StarDot cameras integrated with the solution and added to our list of supported hardware gives our customers even more choice when selecting megapixel video cameras."
