Proximex, a developer of winning products for the physical security information management (PSIM) market, announced a partnership with LANAIR Group, a Los-Angeles based systems integrator. LANAIR recently installed and configured Proximex Surveillint at the new Port of Long Beach Command and Control Center.
“LANAIR has a strong understanding of IT technology and how it needs to integrate with physical security. This makes them a great partner for Proximex,” said Larry Lien, VP of Product Management for Proximex. “Their IT expertise and detailed comprehension of port security policies and procedures was critical for successfully implementing Surveillint at the port's command and control center.”
The Port of Long Beach is the second busiest seaport in the U.S. The port's new Command and Control Center serves as its Security Division headquarters and as a coordination and communications hub for security agencies that protect the harbor complex, including tenants, shippers and customers. LANAIR installed and configured Surveillint to integrate access control, video management, radar, CAD and mass notification systems into one centralized security environment.
“Proximex Surveillint provides the foundation for POLB's new Command and Control Center,” said Steve Rogers, VP of LANAIR. “An implementation similar to the Port's is ever expanding as there are always new systems and technologies to add, ensuring the Port's security environment remains state-of-the-art. Surveillint's strong foundation easily integrates the port's current systems today and stands ready to accommodate future systems and technologies.”
