WCC Smart Search & Match, a provider of ELISE ID, the platform for multimodal fusion, announced it has been selected by a large electoral state to power identity matching for their driver registration system. ELISE ID will be used to prevent duplication of records during the merger of two existing databases that contain more than 20 million records. It will then be used for real-time identification by the law enforcement.

"We are delighted to be selected for this task," said Peter Went, CEO of WCC. "We believe this award recognizes one of ELISE ID's key strengths in supporting current requirements for accurate identification using legacy biographic data while providing a flexible, interoperable platform that can accommodate future expansion to new applications and integrating new technologies in the future."

The system is expected to have more than 1,000 users generating roughly 2 million transactions per day with peaks at around 260 transactions per second. This performance level has been demonstrated by many other government, nationwide deployments of the WCC system that have been in operation for over a decade.
