ICx Technologies, a developer of advanced sensor technologies for homeland security, force protection and commercial applications, announced that the U.S. Army has purchased Fido XTi explosives-detection systems for use by the Afghan National Army and the Afghan National Police.

The Fido XTi is the international version of the combat-proven Fido XT. The Fido XTi features a modified user-interface, weighs less than three pounds, and provides trace detection of explosive materials or contamination.

"Our mission is to support the U.S. military and its allies with the most sensitive and field-ready explosives-detection systems available” said Colin Cumming, CEO of ICx Technologies. “We are proud that this order gives further affirmation that ICx continues to provide exceptional, combat-proven detection products and solutions.”
