Intellicheck Mobilisa, a provider in access control and wireless security systems, received a contract from Parris Island Marine Recruit Depot to provide the Defense ID access control system to protect the base. Defense ID is currently in use at over 70 secure government installations.

Utilizing Intellicheck Mobilisa's patented ID reading technology, Defense ID quickly scans various forms of IDs, such as Drivers Licenses, Military ID's or TWIC cards, and instantly compares the data to over 100 “bad guy” lists.

Parris Island Marine Recruit Depot is home to US Marine Corps recruit training facility, training new recruits as well as drill sergeants. The base is one of the most visited military facilities in the world, hosting more than 120,000 visitors a year. Events at this facility will now be made safer with the Defense ID system.

“We are very excited to add Parris Island Marine Recruit Depot to our list of customers,” stated Dr. Nelson Ludlow, CEO of Intellicheck Mobilisa. “Thousands of new recruits come to Parris Island to become Marines each year, and with them come visitors, graduation ceremonies, and numerous public events. We look forward to helping improve their safety while on post.”
