MOBOTIX, a system and technology provider of digital high-resolution network-based video security systems, reports the results for the first nine months of fiscal year 2008 and 2009, ending on March 31, 2009.
The MOBOTIX Group has reached a sales growth of approximately 37 percent in the first nine months of fiscal year 2008 and 2009, resulting in sales of US$44.22 million (previous year: $32.38 million) and significantly increased its global market share.
The group EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) reached $10.75 million (previous year: $6.67 million), resulting in an EBITDA margin of 23.4 percent (previous year: 19.2 percent). With an EBIT of $9.38 million (previous year: $5.44 million), the EBIT margin could be increased to 20.5 percent (previous year: 15.7 percent). The net income for the period amounts to $6.8 million, resulting in earnings per share of $1.55 (previous year: $0.88).
In the third quarter (January 1 to March 31, 2009) of the current fiscal year MOBOTIX's sales amounted to $14.28 million (previous year: $11.43 million) corresponding to a growth of about 25 percent compared with the same period of the previous year. The EBIT in the third quarter of the fiscal year rose even disproportionately by 33 percent to $2.45 million (previous year: $1.77 million), resulting in an EBIT margin of 15.6 percent.
After recording weak performance in January and February, March showed a strong revival in business activity. MOBOTIX is expecting to fulfill its financial projections for fiscal year 2008/09 (30 percent revenue growth, 18 percent EBIT margin).
