CSST Takes Over Three China-based Surveillance Companies

Digital surveillance technology provider China Security & Surveillance Technology (CSST) announced plans to acquire three local security and surveillance companies. CSST recently signed letters of intent with access control system provider Coson Electronic, residential security solution provider DIT Digital Co. Ltd. and IP security video phone system supplier Skyrise Technology Co. Ltd. For 100-percent ownership of each. "We believe that the products offered by each acquisition will add to our expanding range of products and services," said Guoshen Tu, Chief Executive Officer of CSST.


Coson has been in the electronic security industry for more than 10 years, supplying intelligent access control solutions to a wide range of clientele, such as government agencies, banks, post offices, universities and large residential properties. Zhuhai-based DIT Digital specializes in residential security solutions, offering CCTV solutions, and home intruder and alarm systems. The company has an extensive distribution network in the U.S., Japan and Europe, and carries the Kare brand for retail sales. Finally, Skyrise designs and develops digital and IP security video phone systems. The company maintains R&D partnerships with companies like Philips, Huawei Technologies and ZTE Corp. It also acts as a third-party design partner of Huawei Hisilicon as well as an equipment supplier and partner of China Telecom, China Netcom and China TieTong.
