Fixed Dome Cameras Deliver Security

A&S takes a look at Chinese fixed-dome manufacturers such as Dalles, Rekeen, Safer, Success, Tiandy, YHDO and Yuxin.


IR Cameras
Rekeen's REK-CV828R-W four to nine-millimeter lens infrared dome camera offers an exquisite aluminum IP66 weatherproof casing (white, black or champagne). It has a one-third-inch Sony 480-TVL CCD sensor (optional Sharp CCD sensor). Manual rotation angle is 360 degrees (pan), 90 degrees (tilt). Effective coverage is to 30 meters with IR LEDs on; they turn on automatically when illumination falls within a range from one lux to three lux. Minimum illumination is 1.0 lux at F2.0 (IR LEDs off), and zero lux (IR LEDs on). Dimensions are 119 millimeters by 82.5 millimeters and net weight is 820 grams.


IR coverage of 30 meters enables Success's TS-2802 IR color camera to provide for PAL and NTSC signaling systems. It has one-third-inch Sony 420-TVL resolution with built-in backlight compensation. Shutter speed is 1/50 (1/60) second to 1/100,000 second. Minimum illumination is zero lux at F1.2 (when infrared lamps are on). The camera provides auto-tracking white balance and infrared-lamp distance of 30 meters with an S/N ratio of more than 48 dB (AGC off). When infrared lamps are on, maximum power is 450 mA. Infrared wavelength is 850 nanometers with 12-volt DC power consumption.


Color Cameras
Safer's SF-6050CH color dome CCD camera (500-TVL high resolution and 3.5-millimeter to eight-millimeter auto iris lens) features 0.5 lux illumination. The Sony sensor offers Super HAD CCD and DSP digital processing. Video DC, AGC, AWB, BLC and EE/ AI can be turned on or off. The 12-volt DC power supply provides for internal synchronization system.


The CAM-212D from Yuxin is a color dome camera with one-fourth-inch Sharp color CCD. White balance and backlight compensation can be switched on or off. Minimum illumination is 1.0 lux at F1.2 with an S/N ratio of more than 48 dB. Optional camera lenses are 2.8 millimeters, 3.6 millimeters, six millimeters, eight millimeters, 12 millimeters, 16 millimeters or CS lens mount. Shutter speed is from 1/50 (1/60 ) second to 1/100,000 second. It also features PAL and NTSC signaling systems, 12-volt DC power supply,1.0Vp-p, 75ohm video. Power consumption is 120mA and operating temperature is from-10 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius.


Vandal-resistant Cameras
Tiandy's YT -3735 vandal-resistant camera supports PAL and NTSC signaling systems; it has a built-in 3.6-millimeter lens and offers auto white balance and auto backlight compens a t ion. With 420-TVL horizontal resolution, the camera supports a one-third-inch Sony color CCD (500 pixels by 582 pixels in PAL, 510 pixels by 492 pixels in NTSC). Video output is 1.0 Vp-p, 75 ohms. Minimum illumination is 0.5 lux with an S/N ratio of more than 48 dB. Shutter speed is 1/50 second to 1/100,000 second and sensing area is 4.9 millimeters by 3.7 millimeters. Operating temperature is from -10 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius.

IP network security & WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) dome camera has one-third-inch Sony color double scan CCD, and Sony SS2, SS3 digital signal processor which allows better picture quality and full function control. It supports MPEG4-SP compression and D1, CIF, QCIF video format. Frame rate is 30fps at D1 in NTSC, 25fps at D1 in PAL. It offers true day and night OLP switching function (optional). The low sensitivity is 0.001 lux at F1.2. The camera also provides dual video outputs, one BNC & one RCA.


YHDO's YH-D816HVR color IR vandal proof dome camera has a one-third-inch Sony CCD, and features HQ1, 520-TVL resolution. With 18pcs IR, it supports an IR view distance 15  20 meters. It has 4-9 millimeters manual varifocal lens, and power supply is DC 12 volts, 360mA. The operation temperature is from -20 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius. And it owns an IP grade of IP67.


Other
Dalles's DS372 dome camera (minimum illumination of 1.0 lux at
F1.2) features a color Sony one-fourth-inch CCD. It is equipped with an internal synchronization system that has an S/N ratio of more than 48 dB. It can be customized with a 3.6-millimeter lens. Video output is 1.0 Vp-p, 75 ohms and electronic shutter speed is 1/50 (1/60) second to 1/100,000 second. It offers auto white balance, backlight compensation and AGC. With 420-TVL horizontal resolution, the camera provides EE exposure mode and 0.45-gamma correction. Video, DC and auto iris control can be switched on or off. Operating temperature is from -20 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius.
