SecurityTrax, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alarm.com and the leading CRM + ERP platform purpose-built for the security industry, today announced the launch of the new SecurityTrax – a modern, mobile-first, AI-assisted platform that helps security dealers run their entire business in one place, from the first door knock to the full life of the customer account. The new platform is available now.
The Challenge of Running a Security Dealership
Running a security dealership is complex. Dealers must manage leads, credit qualification, contract execution, consumer financing, technician scheduling, equipment inventory, central station connections, recurring billing, and customer retention – often across a patchwork of disconnected systems. The result is costly "swivel chair" workflows that slow teams down, introduce errors, and make it harder to grow and retain accounts.
SecurityTrax was founded in 2004 to solve exactly this problem – delivering the capabilities security dealers need in a single, purpose-built platform, without the heavy customization costs of off-the-shelf CRM and ERP solutions. "The dealers who struggle are often the ones spending more time managing disconnected systems than serving their customers," said Jeff Hansen, President of SecurityTrax. "SecurityTrax was built to change that." Acquired by Alarm.com in March 2015, SecurityTrax today serves dealers and central stations of every size, including SafeHaven Security (the largest ADT dealer), Skyline Security (the largest Brinks dealer), and central station a.p.i. Alarm, among many others.
The Most Significant Update in the Platform's History
The new SecurityTrax delivers a modern, mobile, AI-assisted experience built on the foundation dealers already trust.
Modern Experience
A complete UI/UX overhaul brings a fully mobile interface, dark mode and theming, a command palette with site-wide search, and guided workflows and onboarding checklists – helping dealer teams follow consistent, repeatable processes and get up to speed faster.
AI, Built In and Permission-Safe by Design
AI is woven throughout the new SecurityTrax, with three core capabilities designed to reduce manual work and put routine tasks on autopilot:
AI Assistant — A conversational chat assistant on any customer or lead record. Users ask questions in plain language and receive answers drawn from their own permissioned data. (Example: "What's their balance, and when did they last pay?")
AI Assists — One-click helpers and admin-curated prompts embedded directly in the workflow with no prompt-writing required. (Example: One click turns a customer's entire note history into a clean summary note.)
Automations — Rules that trigger AI actions automatically based on account events. (Example: A new web lead is auto-summarized and routed to the right rep.)
All AI features are permission-safe by design. The AI only ever sees what the logged-in user is already authorized to access. "We're layering in AI in a way that's practical, permission-safe, and genuinely useful," said Hansen. "There's real value being created for dealers here – not just in efficiency, but in their ability to grow and retain accounts in a competitive market."
Billing, Accounting & Docs
The new release introduces parent/child roll-up billing for multi-location operators, a unified accounting engine with a new journal system, payroll DIY calculations, and SecurityTrax eDocs — a native e-document and e-signature solution built directly into the platform.
Operations, Data & Platform
Additional enhancements include a unified calendar, address and property-owner verification, a license catalog and government regulation management tool, a new Brinks integration, OIDC SSO support, and improved reporting.
"After years on another platform, we knew the pain of switching — that's why we took our time comparing every option out there. SecurityTrax won on every front," said Michael Auerbach, President at Alamo Smart Home. "It's a genuinely modern platform: clean, fast, and intuitive enough that our team was up and running almost immediately, with every tool we need — from lead to install to billing — under one roof. And with the API, our data finally flows freely between SecurityTrax and the rest of our stack instead of being trapped in exports. There's nothing else in this industry that compares."
