Total PoE surveillance solution for the biggest shopping mall AEON in Ipoh Perak, Malaysia. The shopping mall will be requiring intensive surveillance network for the security and to ensure the safety of its commodity.
 
Establishing a safe and secure environment for the visitors became the top priority achievement before the grand opening, with more than 600 IP cameras to be installed for both indoor and outdoor environments, with a variety of angles inside the shopping mall and the outdoor parking lots.
 
To establish an easy-of-managed, secured and time-saving surveillance system, Volktek provide industrial-grade PoE switches, designed with high tolerance temperature of -40℃ up to 75℃. These robust PoE switches are deployed in remote areas for example, parking lots with centralized control support which is operated by an enhanced combination of both aggregation and access switches.
 
This total solution guarantees a high quality, cost-effective and efficient surveillance system around the shopping mall area.

System description

Volktek provided a well-planned surveillance system for both indoor and outdoor security. To maintain a high level of safety inside the shopping mall, the IP cameras are attached to 6500-24GS4XS and for secured outdoor surveillance, Volktek provided IEN-8648PA, supporting up to maximum 30W power budget per port.
 
To effectively manage the network traffic transmissions, both the PoE compliant switches are connected to robust and high performable 5100-24GT2GS aggregation switches, which are deployed in the control center via Gigabit fiber connection.
