Ahead of the world’s leading AV and systems integration show, ISE in Barcelona (3-6 February), David Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of the Audio Business at Keenfinity Group, outlines the company’s plans to shape the future of professional communications. David shares insights on business strategy, industry trends, and what customers and partners can expect from Keenfinity Group and renowned brands such as Electro-Voice, Dynacord, RTS, Telex, and Bosch in 2026 and beyond.

ISE is a major industry event. What does your presence here signal about your direction?

David Hunter: ISE is the global stage for AV innovation. Our presence demonstrates Keenfinity Group’s commitment to delivering integrated audio and communication solutions across multiple applications. It’s about showing leadership and setting the tone for what’s next in intelligent, connected communications.

This year, we are bringing our booth theme “Moved by Sound” to life like never before. For the first time, we will showcase our products within one shared application: a multipurpose building that demonstrates how professional sound, public address, conferencing, and intercom systems come together to connect, entertain, and protect people.

Can you give us a sneak preview? What are your product highlights and new launches?

David Hunter: I’m very proud to say that there are numerous product launches planned for ISE, including a DICENTIS multimedia device for advanced conferencing as well as next-generation loudspeaker series and intercom platforms.

Overall, you can expect improved interoperability, enhanced user experience, and continued investment in security and sustainability. Our goal is to make professional communication effortless and future ready.

Speaking of future readiness, our latest acquisition of Avonic allows us to leap forward in audio visual conferencing.

Can you elaborate a bit further on Avonic, your first acquisition as CEO of Audio?

David Hunter: The conference segment continues to grow, and as a leader in this market, we aim to shape trends rather than follow them. By adding AI-enabled video capabilities to our audio portfolio, we are creating more engaging and natural experiences where human connection takes center stage in hybrid meeting environments.

Avonic is the perfect partner for this. We have already been in a technical partnership for years and know that our products and teams are a perfect fit. Our customers can expect seamless integration, and a one-stop shop for all their audio and video conferencing needs.

What other trends do you see shaping the AV and communications market in 2026 and beyond?

David Hunter: We see growth in traditional audio segments driven by technical innovations such as AI, software-enabled hardware, and spatial audio. Furthermore, hybrid work and flexible collaboration continue to demand seamless audio and video integration like the capabilities we are adding through the integration of Avonic to the conference portfolio.

Then, of course, time to market and customer focus are key. With our decentralized group structure and dedicated brands, we can fully focus on our customers and diverse markets, combining the agility of a startup with the financial stability of an established industrial player.

And finally, with digitalization transforming consumer behavior, especially among younger generations, we are exploring adjacent markets such as content creation and podcasting with a focus to attracting young talents to shape our future together.

How does the Audio Business Unit fit into Keenfinity Group’s offering and overall strategy?
David Hunter: Our purpose is to ignite extraordinary audio experiences. What do we mean by this? Firstly, with the breadth of products that we have in our portfolio, we enable our customers to deliver end-to-end solutions. Whether that be through prosound, conferencing, public address or broadcast and intercom solutions or any combination of them.

Electro-Voice and Dynacord are well known to a broad audience thanks to their extraordinary sound quality, whether at events, concerts, or in stadiums. Less known outside their respective industries, perhaps, is that we offer connected and cybersecure communications solutions for aviation, dispatch, and broadcasting.

In an increasingly connected world, protecting voice communication is one of our unique value propositions. Whether at world class events at the United Nations or global summits or on a smaller scale but equally important in shopping malls, subway stations, or airports – our conferencing as well as our public address and voice alarm solutions ensure that voice communication and messages are protected, and that people are safely guided during evacuations.

So, referring to your question how we fit into the Keenfinity Group: these security and communication offerings were part of Bosch Building Technologies and carved out of the Bosch Group in 2025.

Now within Keenfinity Group’s new, decentralized organization, Audio is one of four empowered businesses, and home of the powerful brands Bosch, Electro-Voice, Dynacord, RTS and Telex and the latest addition Avonic,
The Audio Business is perfectly set up to evolve its brands and to unlock new growth opportunities in existing and adjacent markets, by being closer to our customers, by investing in R&D to accelerate innovation, and by enabling faster decisions and responses to market needs than ever before.

Speaking of sales, how have you been performing in fiscal year 2025, and what are your plans for 2026?

David Hunter: What I am particularly proud of: despite many changes – from the carve-out to new leadership to organizational adjustments, geopolitical challenges, global tariffs, and even chip shortages – our team reached the set business goals for fiscal year 2025.

We entered 2026 with the acquisition of Avonic, which is proof of the trust our shareholder Triton has in us. And as a global team, we are highly motivated to take our business to the next level.

What can customers and partners expect from Keenfinity Group’s Audio Business in the next 12 months?

David Hunter: Our customers can expect a much improved customer experience or journey. As we digitize our business, our objective is to make it much easier for our customers to work with us. Add to this the enhanced interoperability, user experience, and continued investment in security and sustainability. Our goal is to make professional communication effortless and future ready.

We know that our customers were also affected by changes within our company and had to adjust to new sales channels and distributors. We highly appreciate their trust. We will continue to make it easier for them to do business with us.

We do this with a clear commitment: we want to empower integrators to create state-of-the-art solutions that allow us all to excel in our markets; solutions that ignite extraordinary audio experiences and connect users anywhere, anytime, with uncompromising quality and reliability.
