The ongoing adoption of AI functionalities in camera devices generates richer datasets at the edge, making edge storage a key component of cloud-based video security applications. There is a growing number of use cases for edge storage across verticals, each one benefiting from the combination of edge computing, storage and cloud computing which includes easy deployment, higher accuracy and better incident management.
Users, however, will face challenges for edge storage in AI video applications as storage workloads can significantly impact performance. To address this, workload-optimized solutions have become a necessity for AI video security applications.
