The political climate of Sri Lanka appears to have stabilized with the new government at the helm looking to put the past behind and move on, but the country’s security industry is determined to take lessons from it’s past to secure the future, according to a Colombo-based systems integrator who visited Secutech 2015 in Taipei.
“Even though [considering the] country situation, security-wise there are no threats at present, unlike the previous period of internal conflicts, we have started to implement high tech security already,” said Daniel Ananthan, Head of Enterprise Business at
V S Information Systems. “The market is steadily, systematically growing.”
He added that the country already has two cities that are fully covered using IP surveillance systems, indicating that there is a trend in Sri Lanka to opt for the most advanced technology.
