AIT Grows with Mobotix in Thailand

Through distributing Mobotix products, Advanced Integrated Technology (AIT) is able to consolidate its market share in the high-end market sector. Although the company is more focused on the public sector, “AIT was not affected much from the previous social instability,” said Lei Zhang, Assistant Product Manager of AIT.

AIT’s targeted markets like universities usually need solutions, not just single products. Therefore, Mobotix products are very competitive compared to other brands in these sectors. Zhang said Mobotix products are based on a decentralized concept, so there is no need for extra servers to run the systems. Meanwhile, the camera itself is a computer/system and has already been integrated with other components, like speakers, microphone, PIR sensors, temperature sensors, and shock detectors, so the total cost of ownership is quite low. Most importantly, Mobotix provides free software. For example, “In the past, we delivered 5-megapixel sensor cameras. But at that time, customers could only record in 3 megapixels. This year, by simply upgrading the firmware, customers can record in 5 megapixels. Since the firmware is free of charge, our old customers are very happy about it,” Zhang continued.
