DotCom Views Security

Established in 1999, DotCom Engineering initially was a system integrators company specializing in IT. Since 2003, the company has become a successful company focusing on surveillance, now with eight branches throughout Malaysia. Dotcom is a one stop shop provider that supplies a wide range of equipment from various brands that are suitable for most projects.

Targeting the mid, and mid-low end market segment, their main products and services include, long distance transmission, security systems, solar power, and cable. In regard to the new and upcoming technologies such as HD-over-coaxial technology, Bryan Liew, Marketing Director at Dotcom Engineering, shares his views. “I feel that the HD-over-coaxial products of HDCVI and HDTVI will have more opportunities in some developing countries, due to the lack of experienced IP engineers and also a huge amount of middle- to low-end consumers. Since HDCVI and HDTVI provides very cost-effective options for the customers who are considering upgrading their old analog systems to HD. I would predict the security market will grow quite exponentially in the future.”
