Horing Lih, a leading Taiwanese fire safety equipment manufacturer, is a major exporter to Southeast Asia, where economic growth is fueling demand for fire safety products.

“We’re getting many requests from these areas for fire alarm systems,” said Henry Shaw, Overseas Manager at Horing Lih, whose Southeast Asia export destinations include Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Among products that are seeing growing popularity in the region are addressable control panels, which are now found not only in the commercial sector but also in residential projects as well, Shaw said.

Addressable panels differ from conventional panels in that they can include hundreds of devices, such as detectors and call points in a loop, each with a unique address that allows the system to pinpoint the exact location of the fire.

In the future, Horing Lih will target the DIY market. “We are trying to focus more on detection sensors like gas detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and smoke and heat detectors for DIY home safety,” Shaw said.

Horing Lih has been in business for over 30 years and exporting for over 20 years. Operations are based on the firm’s desire to protect people. “We are concerned about people’s lives,” Shaw said.
