PNB to identify locations in Malaysia for hotel development

Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) will from time to time identify the best locations nationwide for its hotel development.

President and Group Chief Executive Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said the move was important to ensure that hotels that are developed in the locations have potential to make profits in the future.

"We will try our best to ensure the areas that we develop have huge potential in the future. We had plans in other states but to date, we have locations in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Baru (Kelantan) and Port Dickson (Negri Sembilan)," he said.

Besides Hotel Perdana, PNB's hospitality business also includes PNB Darby Park Executives Suites in Kuala Lumpur and PNB Ilham Resort in Port Dickson.

Hamad Kama Piah said PNB's hospitality business has a bright future, hence it will focus on this sector.
