Due to current TransJakarta bus stops are no longer able to accommodate high volume of passengers, Jakarta Provincial Government is planning to widen existing TransJakarta bus stops. The plan is scheduled to be carried out this year.
“Indeed, this year we’re going to widen TransJakarta bus stops, which don’t even have toilets. We are now calculating the budget,” stated Vice Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama, Sunday (1/26).
According to Basuki, Jakarta Provincial Government will also arrange the routes of TransJakarta buses. The arrangement will be applied every morning and afternoon.
“TransJakarta bus routes arranged to prevent passengers from piling up in one location,” he told.
Not only that, Basuki continued, additional in complimentary buses can also reduce TransJakarta bus passengers pile-ups.
“If you have complimentary buses, why would you onboard TransJakarta bus, right?” he finished.
