“When deploying front-to-back surveillance systems for vehicles; versatility is the key to integrate the necessities with an easy-to-use management software,” Allen Liu, Product Manager, Dahua Technology.

Dahua’s mobile surveillance systems are widely used in China and Thailand. When designing a suitable system, it is very important to take into consideration why each vehicle needs surveillance systems, who are the passengers to carry, and how to link up other products to provide a multi-layer protection.

For example, on public buses there could be quarrels, fights and thefts while outside the bus, incidents could happen. Therefore, coverage of interactions inside and outside both requires high quality image resolution. Some integration include card reader, stop announcement, or push-to-talk devices with the staff at the stations. Because of the long working hours, the demand for large footage storage usually requires mobile DVR/ NVR with hard disks.

For school buses, surveillance inside the buses is to monitor drivers’ operation behaviors and students’ activities. It is also very important to keep an eye on the environment around the bus where students get on and off the bus. To make sure the students are safely taken to and from the school, integration with SMS notification is provided to for parents.

Police cars that are equipped with surveillance system often need to be linked to a cloud to monitor and enable real-time actions for emergency.

Dahua completes the mobile surveillance solution with in-house software that offers real-time monitoring, playback, GPS, and data backup with or without Wi-Fi. The software can also be downloaded to smartphones.
