Tyco names President for Installation and Services Asia

Tyco announced Oct 14 that Benny Goh has been appointed President of Installation and Services for Asia, with effect from Aug 1. Goh is based in Tyco's Asia headquarters in Shanghai. The appointment underscores Tyco's continued commitment in Asia, in particular China.
Tyco has a strong regional presence in China, Hong Kong/Macau, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan, and has employed nearly 10,000 employees across Asia. "Our progress in Asia is critical to Tyco in today's competitive landscape," said Phil McVey, President of Installation and Services for APAC. "[Benny's] years of seasoned management skills and outstanding leadership maintains our strong position for the next phase of business growth. I am confident Benny will help us execute our growth strategies to create better opportunities for our employees and to drive greater value for our shareholders and customers."
Prior to joining Tyco, Goh was President of China Yuchai International. He also held various leadership positions with Ingersoll Rand/Trane, including MD and VP of North Asia for the Climate Solutions Business. Earlier on, Goh was a management consultant with AT Kearney in Chicago, and with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance in Singapore after his first career with the Republic of Singapore Air Force, where he served in various command and staff roles before completing his stint as Lieutenant Colonel.
Goh has a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in physics from the University of Oxford, England and he earned an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in Boston.
