SM Group named top residential developer in the Philippines

SM Group, owned by the country’s richest man Henry Sy Sr., was named Best Residential Developer in the Philippines by Euromoney magazine, in the 9th annual global real estate survey. The award highlights the work done by residential arm SM Development Corporation (SMDC) in the past six years, for effectively reaching out to the retail sector. SMDC addresses the need for affordability while still catering to lifestyle aspiration through innovative and efficient approaches.

Henry Sy Jr., Vice Chairman of SMDC, said in the statement: "The award affirms the long-term vision of SM Group in the property business where our dedication lies in knowing what our market needs." Founded in 1958, the group is now among the largest in the retail, banking and property sectors.
