At the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018) in Barcelona, the European market leader eQ-3 will present its latest flagship, the Homematic IP product line. Thanks to the wireless connection of all products, Homematic IP products can be used within a few minutes – without cumbersome wiring or technical knowledge. The controller works intuitively via a smartphone app with just a few clicks, the user has automated lighting and temperature control in his home.

With more than 100,000 visitors and more than 2,000 exhibitors, the Mobile World Congress is Europe’s largest trade fair for mobile communications, making it the industry’s leading event. eQ-3 will showcase its smart home technology Homematic IP. The range includes products from the areas of indoor climate, lighting control, shading as well as home security – the latter is certified by the VDE technical association.

Homematic IP communicates energy efficiently on frequency of 868 MHz. This makes the system resistant to interference and above all user-friendly – the user controls his or her entire home in just a few steps. There is also a nice side effect: the energy costs are reduced by up to 30 percent. Thanks to the wireless communication of the devices, the system can also easily be retrofitted with additional components.

After installation, the control is conveniently and easily via app, remote control, buttons, or the latest highlight voice command via Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant. With requests such as “Alexa, turn on the reading light” or “Alexa, set the shutters to 20 percent”, the operation of the smart home is even more comfortable and intuitive than before. These and other novelties will be demonstrated by experts at the eQ-3 trade fair stand, using clearly designed exhibits.
