President of HomeGrid Forum

From Dauphinee’s point of view, smart home industry is one of the most anticipated opportunities for technology which promises to bring Sci-Fi technology to everyone’s home. However, smart homes need smart connectivity as the foundation. “HomeGrid Forum is focusing on providing the most versatile smart home connectivity regardless of wire type: Coax, phoneline, powerline, or plastic optical,” he explained.

As the president of HomeGrid Forum, Dauphinee will keep promoting and educating technology companies and service providers about the benefits of G.hn technology. While G.hn technology has a strong connection with Telco service providers, he would also like to increase the promotion of G.hn technology through his connection with the MSO community. Regardless of the original access type of the service provider, G.hn provides versatile and high performance connectivity using the existing wires in users’ home.

In addition, HomeGrid Forum has plans for more deployments of G.hn technology in different areas. They are constantly trying to grow the use of G.hn technology, and has gained global interests and great reactions on social media as well. “The benefits and application opportunities of G.hn connectivity in smart homes are only limited by our imagination,” said Dauphinee positively.

As internet access speeds has reached multi-Gigabit rates, G.hn technology will need to respond to the rapid changes, and meet the challenge to provide seamless connectivity for users in the future smart homes.
