3SG Plus announced the acquisition of OnGuard Systems, a cyber security firm specializing in endpoint security software. The acquisition will enable 3SG Plus to offer a comprehensive suite of products and services to the enterprise market.  Jim Mazotas, founder & CTO of OnGuard Systems, will join 3SG Plus as Chief Visionary Officer in charge of new and emerging technologies.

3SG Plus will acquire the OnGuard assets, people and customer contracts and the merged business will operate under the 3SG Plus brand.

3SG Plus excels in developing solutions and products for their clients including information management, geographic information systems, custom software development and network security. "The threat of disgruntled insiders and accidental data loss plagues many organizations. Bringing the experience of the OnGuard team adds to our innovation arsenal," said Nitin Chamarahally, Chief Information Officer and recently promoted President at 3SG Plus.

OnGuard, founded in 2009, has been providing global cyber security specifically aimed at insider threats, through their signature product, Intelligent ID.  "The rise in insider security breaches in banking, insurance and healthcare has prompted several industries to focus on first safeguarding themselves from the inside-out," said Mazotas. "Our endpoint-based user monitoring and analytics software secures and protects organization's business assets."

"3SG Plus recognizes the omnipresent threat of data breaches and the addition of OnGuard will enable the company to aid clients in combatting such threats, "said Nanda Nair, CEO. In a recent study, 90% of organizations admitted they feel vulnerable to insider threats.
