Avigilon, provider of trusted security solutions, announced its latest video management software, Avigilon Control Center (ACC) 6.6.

ACC 6.6 is Avigilon’s newest and most advanced video management software, featuring Avigilon Appearance Search technology. With ACC 6.6, Avigilon Appearance Search technology makes searching for a person easier than ever. It incorporates the unique characteristics of a person’s face to quickly locate a specific person of interest across an entire site. Using deep neural networks for face signatures, this technology is designed to increase the speed and accuracy of investigations by detecting and understanding that it is searching for the same person, even if items such as their clothing change over time.

“ACC 6.6 represents an important milestone in the evolution of our video analytics capability,” said Dr. Mahesh Saptharishi, Avigilon's Chief Technology Officer. “By using deep neural networks to incorporate face signatures into Avigilon Appearance Search technology, we’ve set the foundation for some exciting new advancements for face analytics and video search technology.”

This latest ACC software release will also offer many other new features, including native support with Avigilon’s Access Control Manager (ACM) system. Users can now easily configure ACM door events using ACC rules and receive door-related alerts in ACC, allowing them to respond to physical security alerts with greater speed and efficiency.

Additional features include:
  • Enhanced cybersecurity protection: restricted operator access, dual authentication, password strength feedback and enforcement
  • Tiered storage management for recordings and review
  • Operator access and ACC client usage auditing
  • Avigilon Presence Detector integration and support
  • Avigilon H4 Thermal camera line integration and support

ACC 6.6 is expected to be available early in the fourth quarter of this year.
