Grandstream Networks, connecting the world since 2002 with SIP unified communication solutions, and GENBAND, a provider of real time communications software solutions, jointly announced the certification of Grandstream’s Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions with GENBAND’s Application Server. This successful certification allows any service provider or enterprise using GENBAND’s Application Server (standalone or in combination with the C20 Session Controller) to deploy Grandstream’s award-winning VoIP telephony solutions. By combining Grandstream solutions with GENBAND’s state-of-the-art platform, service providers and enterprises are afforded a cost-effective VoIP solution that seamlessly integrates video, data and mobility capabilities.

“At Grandstream, we believe that every business should have the tools to succeed, and we are excited to partner with GENBAND on that mission,” said David Li, CEO of Grandstream. “GENBAND’s world-class communications platform makes it easier for large enterprises and service providers around the world to deliver state-of-the-art communications to end users in a way that is easier yet more powerful than ever before – which is something we strive to accomplish every day. We are thrilled to partner with GENBAND to allow their customers to extract even more value from their GENBAND platforms by pairing it with our award-winning VoIP solutions.”

“We are committed to delivering best-in-class real time communications solutions to our customers and a big part of delivering on that commitment is working with proven partners like Grandstream,” said Patrick Joggerst, EVP of Global Sales and Marketing for GENBAND. “Combining Grandstream’s IP voice, video and mobility solutions with GENBAND’s market-leading real time communications portfolio reinforces the value of standards-based solutions, enabling choice, investment protection and superior value. Business users get a compelling unified communications experience without the burden of proprietary endpoints.”

The Grandstream products tested and certified include the robust GXP series of IP phones, the revolutionary GXV series of IP Video Phones for Android™, the DP series of DECT cordless IP phones, the world-renowned HT series of Analog Telephone Adapters (ATAs) and the GXW series of VoIP gateways. The testing process included GENBAND’s Session Border Controller to secure the sessions and anchor media. As a result of the solution-wide testing, the Grandstream devices are now also certified with GENBAND’s Session Border Controller.

Application Server and C20 Call Session Controller are the world’s leading IP and IMS communications convergence platform for voice and multimedia. Tens of millions of lines are deployed across the globe. Services providers and enterprises can deploy GENBAND solutions in their network, in a private cloud or acquire as a service from the Kandy Business Solutions cloud.
