FLIR announces availability of FC-Series ID cameras

FLIR Systems is pleased to announce that the FLIR FC-Series ID line of cameras is now shipping. The new FC-Series ID introduces thermal cameras with built-in video analytics, optimized for intrusion detection in challenging environments and extreme conditions.

The new FC-Series ID introduces best-in-class thermal cameras with built-in video analytics, optimized for intrusion detection in challenging environments and extreme conditions. Ideal for perimeter protection applications, the new FC-Series ID cameras feature:

• Reliable, built-in Video Analytics with a very low false-alarm rate
• Superior image quality in challenging low contrast scenes, thanks to advanced thermal imaging enhancements, including AGC and Dynamic Detail Enhancement (DDE)
• Expended selection of high performance lenses with low f-numbers, five VGA options (from 44 to 8 degrees) and 7 QVGA options (from 44 to 4 degrees)
• Optional deicing for use in the most demanding installations
