SimonsVoss enhances smart handle for Digital Locking System 3060

SimonsVoss Technologies, a leading electronic lock manufacturer and brand of Allegion, has consistently enhanced its door fitting SmartHandle for the Digital Locking and Access Control System 3060 and included a feature which makes it even smarter. Its intelligent DoorMonitoring now allows doors to be monitored 24 hours a day. This new DoorMonitoring function is integrated into the fitting and ensures that the door status is perfectly clear at all times: Is the door open or closed? Is the lock secured or not?

The digital SmartHandle with DoorMonitoring uses a contactless system to communicate with identification media via the reader integrated into the fitting. All information is continuously transmitted wirelessly to the digital locking and access control system control panel, raising the alert when a door is open for longer than it should be or someone tries to force open a door.

Wide read range, excellent battery life
The reader's range is setting new standards as are the excellent battery lives, enhanced yet again. Everything can be fitted within minutes without any drilling or wiring to the door.

There are three intelligent sensors providing the technology behind this highly intelligent door monitoring system: the fastening screw sensor checks whether the door is open or closed, while the deadbolt sensor verifies whether the door is locked or not. The inside handle contact sensor establishes whether the handle may be used from the inside, ensuring that there is no forced entry from the outside and that no connected alarm system has been triggered.

German-made technology and quality
The SimonsVoss Digital Locking System 3060 is an electronic version of a mechanical locking system with the functions of a typical access control system. Active transponders, passive smart cards, smartphones or PIN code keypads replace mechanical keys. Digital locking cylinders and digital fittings are used instead of mechanical locking cylinders while wireless communication replaces the mechanical authentication of a key.

Certified to DIN ISO 9001, the SimonsVoss production site in Osterfeld and the production tests have been recertified. The system is manufactured to the highest quality standards in Germany. Its elegant design has been honoured with accolades such as the German Design Award Gold 2016.
