Promark Technology, an Ingram Micro company and premier U.S.-focused value-added distributor (VAD), announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Pivot3, a provider of innovative hyperconverged and flash storage solutions for the data center.

Under the new agreement, Promark will distribute Pivot3's hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions and PCIe flash arrays to its growing base of channel partners in the United States.

Pivot3's hyperconverged infrastructure solutions improve ROI for customers with higher storage and compute efficiencies while also providing higher usable storage capacity and improved application performance levels than both traditional infrastructure solutions and competing HCI vendors. With the recent acquisition of NexGen Storage -- formerly a Promark partner -- Pivot3 adds quality of service (QoS) and PCIe-based flash arrays to its innovative technology suite. For the first time, enterprise and mid-market companies will be able to apply the right infrastructure and priority to each workload, application or service according to business value.

"We are excited to leverage Promark's market expertise, distribution channels and world-class experience in effectively bringing solutions to market," said Jason Peoples, vice president of Worldwide Channels at Pivot3. "Our relationship will accelerate our go-to-market efforts with our channel partners, bringing smarter IT infrastructure solutions to a much wider set of customers. We're focused on building the best technology that provides value to our joint customers, supported by our Partner Program and Promark's reseller support infrastructure, for the best experience possible."

Pivot3 works with many different types of partners, including value-added resellers, service providers, infrastructure/data center providers and security integrators, all of which are drawn to more efficient internal processes and operations management offered by hyperconvergence. The company focuses on building the best technology that provides value to its joint customers supported by the award-winning Pivot3 Partner Program that enables partners to market, sell, install, configure, support and manage its technology with their services and expertise wrapped around it.

"We're pleased to play a valued role within Pivot3's go-to-market strategy," says Dale Foster, GM & Executive Director of Promark Technology. "Both the hyperconverged and flash storage markets are increasingly appealing to our channel partners actively looking to broaden their solutions for virtualized workloads and round out their technology roadmaps toward more software-defined environments. Pivot3's increasing success and highly differentiated technology put us in a great position to help customers take advantage of flash platforms and the emerging technology opportunity presented by HCI."
