OPTEX is set to release the Redscan RLS-2020 series, a next generation laser scan detector that provides accurate motion detection for indoor and outdoor security applications. Its multi-angle adjustment and detection mounting options are scalable across a range of security applications providing flexibility and ease of installation. The detector's high speed and resolution provide pin-point detection of small objects in indoor and outdoor applications, complementing camera driven motion detection. The detection range covers 20m x 20m perimeters in both horizontal and vertical areas, and it's improved utility software is streamlined for easy and flexible settings.

RLS-2020 comes with multiple detection modes for enhanced motion detection, and can be used as an analog or IP device. It is PoE enabled, requiring only six watts of power and can operate in -40° to 140°F temperature range. RLS-2020 is designed to elevate IP video surveillance solutions. It can trigger motion-based events in the dark and in tough lighting conditions such as shadows and artificial lighting effects. It is also effective in tough outdoor environmental conditions challenging to video driven motion detection.
