Videotec is expanding its range of MAXIMUS explosion protected cameras.

The new MVX cameras are perfect for effective video surveillance and process control in harsh settings where the presence of gases or flammable dust can create a potentially explosive environment, a reality often found in the oil and gas industries or marine and industrial sectors. The MAXIMUS MVX cameras were designed to meet the strictest international standards ATEX, IECEX, INMETRO, EAC Ex, ETL for Zones 1 and 2 (Gas), Group IIC T5 and T6 and for Zones 21 and 22 (Dust), Group IIIC T100°C and T85°C.

The new range includes Full HD, analogue and thermal camera models in order to meet every type of installation requirement, offering maximum performance paired with best possible balance between quality and price. The visible cameras are equipped with motorised zoom for easier setup. One striking advantage offered by the MVX cameras is their extremely easy and secure "plug and play" installation. They come pre-fitted with multipolar wiring to avoid the complex electrical connections that are typical of this type of device.

The housing is compact yet functional and is made entirely out of AISI316L stainless steel. Its resistance to corrosion is not only guaranteed, but is also enhanced by way of several polishing processes. The extended working temperature range of -60°C to +65°C (-76°F/149°F), along with a sophisticated cold start system, allow to operate in harsh environments. The IP66/IP68 ratings guarantee the complete protection against harsh weather and the submersion in up to five metres of water for two hours. Moreover the IP69 rating allows the device to be cleaned with high pressure water jets. The visible cameras come with wiper. An explosion-proof washer kit is also available, allowing for flawless, maintenance-free cleaning of the front glass.

Videotec has extensive experience in the development of surveillance devices used in hazardous environments and industrial settings and guarantees high performance, excellent quality, zero maintenance and unparalleled efficacy from all of its products.
