AVer Information has launched a new addition to its business communication solution, the VC520 Conference Camera. The VC520 brings professional-grade video and audio quality to cloud- and web-based video conferencing, allowing businesses to turn typical laptop or desktop computers into powerful video collaboration tools with greater flexibility than traditional video conferencing systems.

The VC520 boasts a simple plug-and-play design that requires only a USB connection to a laptop or desktop to operate. Moreover, it is compatible with nearly all popular video conferencing applications. No specialized technical knowledge is needed to use the VC520, so staff can set up and start conferencing on the platform of their choice in no time, with no need for assistance.

The VC520 provides a level of visual and audio quality previously difficult to achieve with web- or cloud-based video conferencing. It provides full HD 1080p video and Pan Tilt Zoom capabilities, with up to 12X optical zoom. Its wide field of view is ample for ensuring all participants can be seen. In addition, its speakerphone is equipped with echo cancellation, noise reduction and full duplex, so discussions are smooth and clear. 10 camera presets can also be created on the remote control so the focus of a meeting can be shifted with just the push of a button.

Cloud- and web-based video conferencing are growing far more rapidly than traditional systems, with software endpoint shipments growing 44% YoY in 2014, according to Infonetics Research. The VC520 makes it possible for businesses to reap the benefits of this trend without sacrificing the quality they need for effective video collaboration.
