TrustOne Global, based in Korea, is showcasing at secutech Asia’s first touchless fingerprint technology.

The solution works by way of a 3D camera, which captures the image of one’s fingerprints. The system then determines if there is a match.

“We are the only one offering this tecuhnology in Asia, and there are only two companies that do this in Europe,” said Daniel Shin, GM of TrustOne. “We have a pretty strong selling proposition -- that there is no competition in the market.”

The solution is especially suitable for facilities with sanitary concerns, for example healthcare and education.

Also, it is ideal in industrial settings, where workers easily get their fingers soiled or sweaty. That is why the product can now be found in oil refineries in the Middle East.

Besides fingerprint, the company also has plans for other biometrics technologies such as facial recognition.
