QNAP Systems announced the release of Qphoto for Android™, providing Turbo NAS users with a free mobile app for photo browsing, uploading and sharing on the go.

Qphoto is a handy tool that allows users to easily access and manage the photos on their Turbo NAS with mobile devices. With its intuitive interface, users can quickly search for photos with keywords or tags, flexibly browse photos and videos via timeline, thumbnails, list and folders, instantly upload media to the Turbo NAS, and easily share photos via email, social networks, and instant messengers.

“People use their mobile devices to take and share photos, but can sometimes feel constrained due to the limited device storage,” said Cherry Chen, product manager of QNAP. “Qphoto allows users to conveniently upload photos to their Turbo NAS to free up device storage, and also to easily browse through and share the photos stored on their Turbo NAS to have fun,” added Chen.

Qphoto also supports Qsync, a useful QTS app that synchronizes files between Qsync-enabled devices/applications and a Turbo NAS. Users can conveniently obtain synced photos and videos with Qphoto. In addition, if users accidently delete photos or videos, they can still retrieve them from the “Trash Can” folder, ensuring that their important files never get lost.

Qphoto supports Android devices with version 4.0 and above. To fully enjoy Qphoto, Turbo NAS users must upgrade their firmware to QTS 4.1(or newer) and install Photo Station (version 4.1 or above) from the QTS App Center.
