A Russian-based distributor and systems integrator made its first appearance at the 17th annual Secutech International in Taipei, Taiwan. Founded in 1995, Zao Integrator comes from a traditional security background and is a certified partner of Honeywell Integrated Security. This year, the company has come to Secutech in search of Asian products. Previously, the company has sourced its products from Europe, but is now looking for more affordable products, which Asian products are known to provide without sacrificing quality.

A first time visitor to Secutech International, Natalia Repina, Manager of Zao Integrator, has come to find new products, new solutions, and new ways of integrating solutions. As a total-solution distributor, the company is looking for “special” products to better serve their customers in a myriad of verticals, including oil and gas, banking and finance, pharmaceuticals, commercial, telecom, etc.

Repina noted that uptake of network security products is growing steadily year-by-year. IMS Research, an IHS company, reported that network security cameras in Russia are forecast to account for 81 percent of security camera revenue by 2017. In 2012, networked security cameras accounted for only 58 percent of total revenue.

In preparation for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics thousands of surveillance cameras were installed around Sochi, along with other access control and other forms of security, helping the growth of the Russian security market. With the 2018 FIFA World Cup scheduled to take place in Russia, this growth is expected to continue.
